Telegram groups, meme bots, Twitter raids, TikToks, FOMO, irony, hostility, addiction and infinite memes are the ingredients of $DADA - a performative, sociological experiment and social sculpture that unfolded over many months of sustained performance and pressure within algorithmically driven attention spaces.

$DADA is a crypto memecoin born from the concept of Dadaism and its use of absurdity, often cited as the conceptual origin of the meme itself. Like the original 20th-century art movement, $DADA challenges and critiques reality through irrationality. Rather than depicting the absurdity of contemporary capitalism, $DADA actively produced and enacted it in real time, exposing a financial logic driven by hope, and collective hallucination.

The performative act extended from code-writing a digital currency, to mass content production of thousands of artworks, videos, images, songs, interactive bots, and stickers, generated and propagated across all social platforms. The artist’s role shifted from author to system operator, making deals, answering chats and navigating scams, manipulation, mania and ethical responsibility within a live financial ecosystem. Through the deliberate escalation of attention, belief, and volatility, $DADA constructed a temporary cult-like community - one in which participants bet their money, belief, and emotions on you.

At the point of collapse, the experiment rendered a snapshot of end-stage capitalism in both its brutality and visual beauty, revealing a brainrot financial system for what it truly is: DADA.
