"HOW TO MAKE A WORLD" is a laboratory situation of a genesis. "LE DIEU DU CHAOS," a supernatural force, designs a world with its own laws of nature, which can be discarded at any time. A playground.
The god of chaos scatters surreal, mystical artifacts throughout the “Weltensimulator”. An autonomous apparatus explores geological phenomena. Paintings as star gates open parallel dimensions. On the command bridge of a variable matrix, the cosmic primordial soup of evolution and elements is created.
The essence of "HOW TO MAKE A WORLD" is the collective, creative process. The artist group BMX ALI plays out the artwork. Apparent disorder within the protected space of the group is the breeding ground for collaboration. Artistic quality arises through the individual methods, skills, and working methods of the participants and the collision of generations. With extraterrestrial R.E.S.P.E.C.T for each other, we do magic.
Key ceramic figures of the installation were created in a self-built kiln, in collaboration with Chef Du Clay, Chantal Lozac’Hmeur, in France, Montségur-sur-Lauzon, in August 2021.
